  • Droop Mountain Battlefield area: Traveling Routes 55 & 219, hot spots of red emerging early. Fall asters in bloom. 'It's shaping up to be a great fall' - Mike Smith, Superintendent

  • 09.29.08–Hawks Nest–Leaf color from Ansted to Lewisburg along Rte. 60 around 20% with nice spots of orange and red in maples. Rainelle, Rupert area with nice color and leaves falling. –Tom Shriver, Superintendent
